JD Vance and his wife Usha set off for Israel on Monday. The latest effort by the Trump administration to shore up the 12-day old ceasefire between Israel and Hamas. Addressing the Knesset, Bunyamin Netanyahu called Trump the gracest friend Israel ever had in the White House and said Vance’s visit would be another boon to the Jewish state. Tomorrow, Vice President J. D. Vance will arrive on Donald Trump’s behalf, and we will discuss two things, mainly two things. The security challenges we face and the political opportunities we face. There was a resurgence in violence on Sunday when Israel carried out air strikes in southern Gaza in response, it says, to an attack that killed two of its soldiers. The Gaza Health Ministry said 45 people were killed in the strikes. Speaking in Washington, Donald Trump said Hamas would face annihilation if they didn’t respect the ceasefire. In addition, you have Israel would go in in 2 minutes if I asked him to go in. I could tell him go in and take care of it. But right now, we haven’t said that. Hamas has been very violent. Uh but they don’t have the backing of Iran anymore. They don’t have the backing of really anybody anymore. They have to be good. and if they’re not good, they’ll be eradicated. But according to the New York Times, the Trump administration is worried Netanyahu might end the ceasefire. Israel accuses Hamas of failing to meet its commitments to return the remains of dead hostages, but the Islamist group says it is doing what it can. We’re finding it extremely difficult to extract the bodies, but we are serious and working hard to extract them. The Gaza agreement will hold because we want it to and our will to abide by it is strong. The body of one hostage was removed from Gaza to Israel’s forensic institute in Tel Aviv on Monday. The remains of 15 other hostages have still to be returned.

US Vice-President JD Vance visits Israel amid concerns that the US-brokered peace deal between the country and Hamas will not hold. The Trump administration has redoubled its efforts to cement the fragile Gaza peace agreement after Israel accused Hamas of stalling the hand-over of hostages’ bodies and deadly violence flared up in the territory days before.

  7. 9/11 killed about 3k people. Israel killed 68k Palestinians. Most of whom were innocent and not involved in the conflict. Israel is not at all peaceful.
