  1. Based Lula. Hopefully the Bolsonarists fall out of fashion soon, would be great for the continent

However, I hope the PT is able to get a new face before Lula gets way too old. We see how it went in Bloivia with Evo and it aint good.

  2. Editting as /u/Beat_Saber_Music pointed out: Biden actually used the CIA, Pentagon etc. to help stop the coup. Arguably his biggest foreign policy win and one that’s not talked about. I’ll edit it to say Trump

Good job Lula, saved them from Argentina’s fate as a GOP puppet where all the wealth is looted by US firms.

It was so transparent why Trump and his backers supported Bolsanaro. They wanted to break up BRICS because they know a united BRICS will overtake them (and the aforementioned wealth extraction).

Let’s hope that Bolsanaro’s supporters fade away and the current US admin can’t push another candidate in.

  3. The people of South America yearn for political leaders named after cephalopods /j

My Brazilian friends did vote for him though and are very happy with what he’s done so far for the country

  4. I still remember that night, when he won with approximately 51% of the vote. That was genuinely so scary. The future of the country stood in the hands of only a handful of votes

  5. First Mexico and now this…Gee it’s like left wingers keep being popular while right wingers keep getting exposed as liars and then swept and voted out. It’s almost like one side cares about people and the other side makes people’s lives worse. A damn shame people don’t learn anything from it and vote right wing anyways multiple times in a row.
