  2. Incredible how this city continues to change over the decades.
    I was born in the mid 80s and grew up right there on the Motlawa River, seen in this picture.

    Wyspa Spichrzow, which I’m pretty sure is in this picture, was just an island of ruins from WWII until about 2012. (That’s only 13 years ago!)

    Now it’s a vibrant area with restaurants and hotels, museums.

    There are still spots in the Old City that have spots of ruins, if you’re not paying attention you might not even notice.
