1. I am so grateful to live in a time of such remarkable orators. It’s truly a blessing to witness the political tact of these people.

4. What does “fuck up the deal” mean? Since the ceasefire, They bombed Gaza over and over again, no trucks have been allowed entry. The population lacks medical supplies and is still starving. What is the deal ?

5. Deal was fucked the minute anyone trusted Israel. Netanyahu will lie to the face of anyone who is dumb enough to deal with him in good faith. I would laugh at Trump’s ineptitude but unfortunately he isn’t going to suffer the consequences.

10. This is very much an “Only Nixon can go to China” situation, only Donald Trump can control Bibi.

    Bibi’s strategy for decades vis-a-vis the US has been “Support the Republicans, Shit on the Democrats,” it’s why he’s often seen as more of a republican than a Likudnik.

    If your entire strategy consists of appearing further and further right, once you hit Trump you’re kinda stuck. He can’t appeal further right than Trump, because then you reach the anti-Zionist right and he can’t peddle back because he burned every other bridge. It’s even worse for Bibi because Trump has a personality cult which means his word is more important than anything else.

    All this plus the fact that Trump is more popular in Israel than every other politician means that Bibi is very much stuck doing what Trump tells him to.

    Elections must happen within a year, which means Bibi will want Trump to back him, because Trump backing another candidate could screw up the election for him.

11. It really seems like a strong and secure deal when trump has to speak out like this /s.

    Netanyahu just gave a speech to his party today saying he “was not under control of the US or Donald Trump” . A day after a failed strike the likud party blames America on failing because Netanyahu required permission to strike.

    Idk how much longer this relationship will last with Netanyahu and Trump.

12. I mean, if thats how our state department needs to get its message across to some of the people we deal with. I just don’t think Donald should be the one doing it, hes a bit too old.
