    A few weeks ago I was speaking about the general states of the world to a guy I work with. He reckons they’re not about in any larger numbers than they used to be, it’s just that they’re noisier thanks to the internet. He might be right but at the same time, I’m unconvinced. Either way, it is depressing as fuck. The cunt using the word “half breeds” in particular made me exceptionally angry.

  9. I went to elementary school in the America’s in the early 90s and this is what my class look like.

    It’s insane to me that people would NOT want this. Growing up I was exposed to First Nations culture, Indian culture, various African and European cultures. There was not a single peep from any of the parents or students at any grade. All we did was enjoy learning something new and experience stuff we never had before.

    It’s just a bunch of sad, narrow minded wankers that would have anything against this. But unfortunately this minority is becoming louder & louder.

  10. I just don’t get this mentality at all; my dad is old school, 75, ‘that’ generation. And we were in Belfast one day after his hospital appointment, and he seen a black fella walking across the road and he pointed him out & I almost braced myself for whatever non-pc thing he might come out with & he said ‘it’s great to see Belfast and Ireland be more diverse like it is in other countries, it’s what we need’ and I was kinda gobsmacked that he was so progressive with the thought of diversity at his age when he’s a boomer. It made me feel really proud. And then you’ve got scumbags like that on Facebook. Sickening

  13. I would’ve preferred this to going to completely all white schools. I loved going to uni cause I actually got to know people from different backgrounds.

    (To whoever replied and then deleted it, everyone in my class was from NI, within 20 miles of the school, bar one person from GB who got made fun of for that. 99% of people were from prod backgrounds. The other 1% were Catholic. So no, in my case there wasn’t diversity in backgrounds!)

    It’s got that unmistakable whiff of bot about it – cobbled together by some sort of cut’n’paste type bot working from a script of emotive cliches.

    The punctuation, the spacing, the clunky rhythm of it + that grim little screen-grabbed comment, all kinda scream “AI wrote me.”

    Definitely report the comment..
    not just for the crassly racist rubbish – but because if you look past the cheap attempt to cause outrage, you’ll see what’s really going on – a murky mesh of fake accounts and bot chatter. A grubby web of machines pretending to be people with a fairly grim print directive of division and offense driving it..
