On October 25 and 26, the National Guard’s 3rd Latgale Brigade 56th Combat Support Battalion will hold combat shooting training with small arms at the Ošānu shooting range in Jēkabpils municipality, according to the National Guard.
The training aims to strengthen and improve the combat capabilities of the battalion, including shooting skills, the National Guard said.
The training tasks will be carried out both during daylight hours and at night in order to train the ability to perform tasks in different conditions.
Live ammunition will be used during the training in the Ošānu quarry area, and motor vehicle traffic and the movement of residents on the roads adjacent to the shooting range will be temporarily restricted. The training sites will be cleaned up after the training.
During the training, there may be increased noise and explosion sounds in and around the Jēkabpils district shooting range.
If you find any unknown objects at the training sites, do not touch or move them, warned the National Guard.
