When Prince Harry and Meghan Markle exchanged vows at St George’s Chapel in 2018, they climbed into their Royal carriage as newlyweds and started their journey through Windsor’s streets, whilst thousands of devoted supporters crowded the pavements hoping to spot the Royal pair.

However, as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex departed, Harry apparently delivered a frank remark to his new wife during a fleeting instance of ordinariness amidst the regal spectacle.

After the celebrity-filled service, the pair positioned themselves at the chapel’s entrance steps and exchanged their inaugural married kiss to enthusiastic clapping.

Subsequently, the prince – who donned tight-fitting military garments known as ‘overalls’ – reportedly delivered an amusing observation to his newly-wed wife as they entered their carriage, as documented by Royal biographers Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand in their publication Finding Freedom.

Outlining the differing reactions from the duo, Mr Scobie and Ms Durand penned: “Lifting her hand to her chest, Meghan had just one word when she saw the huge crowds gathered on the grounds of the castle: ‘wow’.

“Sitting down in the carriage beside his bride, Harry laughed that his trousers were ‘too tight’.”, reports the Mirror.

Professional lip readers supported their assertions, indicating that he had voiced further grievances about his military uniform being somewhat undersized whilst anticipating Meghan’s arrival at the altar. It was previously reported that as the Duke anxiously awaited his bride at the end of the aisle, he turned to his brother and best man, Prince William, reassuring him: “I’m alright,” before jokingly adding: “My trousers are too tight.”

Lip readers also suggested that as their horse-drawn carriage completed its journey up Windsor’s Long Walk, Harry humorously remarked to Meghan: “I’m ready for a drink now.”

Another memorable moment captured by lip readers on the big day showed Meghan seemingly uttering an expletive. As she turned to Harry in their carriage, she appeared to say, “Oh f***!” while placing her hand over her chest.

Social media was abuzz as viewers began questioning what had just happened, with some speculating that she was so overwhelmed by the event, the word had inadvertently slipped out.

The Daily Star argued that her reaction was understandable given the “incredible scenes” of thousands of fans shouting her name.
