  2. wow, the top-tier battery energy density is already at 500Wh/kg? They really like that hockey stick.

    EDIT: there is no 500Wh/kg battery commercially available today. The misleading graph provided by RMI is based on CATL’s “prototype” semi-solid state announcement from 2 years ago — ie, still under development. The top-tier lithium high-end batteries still are under 300Wh/kg — even with silicon (10%) anodes. The solid-state batteries with 300+Wh/kg won’t be mass-produced/commercially available for another 2-3 years. And they will be very expensive: high density and price are inversely related. forgot to add “/s”

  3. Clean energy is booming everywhere except MAGAstan.

    The world can only watch in disbelief.

  4. Physics always wins. The fundamental inputs that make solar, wind, and battery possible are all improving. The economics for investing in renewable energy or storage will continue to improve.

  5. Xi Jinping must feel like he’s hit the lottery with the tyrant’s DOE cancelling $700M in grants for advanced battery manufacturing a week ago. China has been working hard to dominate that market and the stable genius just eliminated a nice chunk of their competition.

  7. The Republicans can’t play middle-man with solar energy. They are making too much money from oil to just let it go.

  8. They probably have their money in it elsewhere or in investments that don’t help the American people.

  9. The right has never been good with math or science. The right is driven by ideology untainted by objective facts.

    Every Republican is data-driven as long as the data drives with their biased, superstitions, or whatever bit of ivermectin? lunacy that falls out of Trump’s mouth.

    MMGW? Smoking- cancer? DDT-avian damage? PFCs-ozone? Acid Rain? Vax-novax? Guns-are-safe? Leaded gasoline?

    Republicans are tools of the rich. They always side with corporations over the science. The science says stop doing stupid shit and clean up your mess. Corps say that looks like it will cost to much. The corps say we shit on your science ( even though they have no alternative theories.). The simple minded Republicans say, you know what 20 years of science and the deaths of 100s of thousands is just fine. And shame on you Democrats for pointing out that those poor little companies that earn more in a quarter than the US collects in a year should actually be held to account. Can’t you see they are just good guys that made a mistake?
