9zł for soup and an apple cacke in a moving train
I’m sorry but I dont belive this
that’s literally less than cheap “bar mleczny”
I checked the prices and it’s not much better (if any) than what we already have. Maybe in some niche cases.
They’re advertising that they are both faster and cheaper than pendolino but the first is straight up false and the second applies only if it’s not a popular day. Otherwise you’re paying more than you would have if you used EIC.
I had high hopes for it when they announced it but I’m disappointed after actually checking the details
i know how they do this: they are pricing everything at a loss, in order to try and gain market share
Make them run other routes, not just the most popular one.
Then we will talk.
I think they operate their food/drink offerings at basically zero profit (those low prices also are on their CZ/SK/AT/HU routes).
Coaches are used from DB/ÖBB mainly, and while they do some maintenance, they’re definitely not renovated. So their business model may be profitable for them on hi demand routes indeed. At least CZ-AT-HU trains are almost always more or less fully booked
