Marvin Rees and George Ferguson were such terrible mayors that they alone killed the post.
Now that’s an interesting move.
If there is a post that should be abolished it’s the Poloce and Crime Commissioner.
They are politicians who try to tell the real cops what to do.
Plus they take a big chunk of council tax
Should be in jail tbh… Would love to go through all of his accounts and his families accounts
Not doubting the result but “The turnout for the referendum was 29%.” oof. Are people really that disengaged with these sorts of votes?

It’s hard to put a positive spin on “I was mayor for six years, and not only did I not get re-elected, they also voted not to have a mayor at all.”
