Wizz Air’s action against Commission’s approval of Romanian restructuring aid granted to TAROM, published in OJ – EU Law Live

An action brought by Wizz Air Hungary and Wizz Air Malta against the European Commission, on 17 July 2025, has been published in the OJ: Case T-478/25.

By their action, the applicants claim that the Court should annul the Commission’s decision (EU) 2025/775, of 29 April 2024 on the State aid SA.59344 – 2021/C (ex 2021/N, ex 2020/PN) – Restructuring aid to TAROM.

TAROM is a Romanian airline, mainly active in the air transport of passengers, cargo and mail. On 28 May 2021 the Romanian authorities notified the Commission of their intention to grant restructuring aid.
