I, uh, I don’t really care about Ben Solo.
Thanks for clearing that up, Steve. Always wondered how you felt about that.
All of the “hype” for this film feels so artificial lmao. Literally no one cared about it and now all of a sudden there are airplane ads and online petitions.
Bait used to be believable.
This is the first I’ve heard of this film and I couldn’t care less about it.
I don’t think it really needed to remain a secret
Maybe they mean old Ben, that looks like a horse…
Honestly, the only reason I’d want this film is so the Skywalker line could continue. Wasn’t a fan of how the whole bloodline was extinguished. Unless Luke had a secret child or something.
Who is Ben Solo? Soderbergh still makes movies?
Should have never been a Solo or if so make it matter at all during the movies. No one cares about this
Well, ST was supposed to the Hunt for Luke, and had LucasFilm not botched it they likely would’ve gotten to make this and any other spin off with ST characters that they’d wanted.
I’m half asleep and scrolling with one eye. I had to reread the title a few times to figure out when Steven Sondheim ever worked on a Star Wars movie.
I really respect the hell out of Steven Soderbergh’s body of work, even if most of his stuff isn’t my cup of tea (too many shallow movies, but then *Michael Clayton*, or *Syriana*, and the guy is insanely prolific in a way I’ve never seen). And I respect Adam Driver as an actor. Wish we could see this after the holy-little-boy-experience-shattering hellscape of *The Last Jedi* and *Rise of Skywalker*.
It doesn’t matter what happens with Star Wars anymore. They had one chance for closure and blew it
This is a viral marketing campaign. Please stop, nobody cares
Im a lifelong Star Wars fan, and I can confidently say, they completely ruined Star Wars and I don’t care about any new things for it
I don’t want to watch Adam Driver do literally anything.
The Curious Case of Benjamin Solo
Weaponising the Streisand effect
I just want to see more things not in the skywalker years. Give me some old Jedi vs sith wars with the old republic or even further back timeline. It’s still fun but it’s so boring knowing exactly what will happen since they all follow the exact same formula.
But he didn’t hide anything? It’s pretty standard to create pitch films and you never hear about them regardless of what they are. Nobody knew this existed fans knowing about it wouldn’t have mattered anyway of the pitch wasn’t accepted. Fans would have critiqued it online without knowing anything about it either way too.
This is all feeling somewhat like either a marketing campaign by Disney or Driver & Steve to force pressure on Disney
I am convinced the hype for this movie is entirely manufactured. Right now I have no real desire for any new star wars movies, but honestly this one I have even less desire for.
There was a time this could’ve been exciting. That time was before they shit the bed by rushing out a trilogy with hardly any connective tissue that was down right insulting to fans of the OG characters.

**General Hux:** You have no idea about me! You think I am nothing, just a First Order socialite?
**Kylo Ren:** No, not nothing, but I reserve my time for people who can think. About military strategy. And literature, and… architecture and the Force. You find me cruel, selfish and unfeeling? I am. I work without caring what happens to either of us. So go back to the cluuuub, bare it all, and stalk the kind of people that you enjoy.
**General Hux**: Fine! I will.
Why should it have remained a secret? Knowing of a canceled Start Wars films after a string of crappy Star Wars films makes me feel literally nothing.
Am I the only one that think Soderbergh and Adam Driver would make a badass Star Wars movie??
To be honest I don’t care enough to watch a film about a redeemed hero who played a hand in killing trillions of people. That whole Sequel Trilogy was a joke that tarnished the legacy of the OT.
People will think I’m wrong, but there’s no doubt in my mind that one day, whether it’s 10 or even 20 years from now, the ST will be de-canonized. Whether it comes from an entire reboot of Star Wars, LF creating an “alternate timeline” that’s sneakily the new canon, or some other way. It will happen.
Give me new star wars. Set a 1000 years away from the Skywalkers. Not retreaded BS about characters arcs are over or I know how’ll they’ll end up they brought back Palpatine let Kylo die.
I thought he said Dan Soderbergh for a whole 2 minutes
They want to avoid making anything with a female lead so badly they’ll literally retcon a character’s obvious death.
Those movies sucked… As did AD’s over-acted take on the character. Whiny. Confusing motivations. Granted, he had to deal with the Snoke sub plot… The worst plot line in Star Wars history. JJ and his “magic box” approach to unresolved McGuffin centric plots need to be held responsible.
i just want more The Knick
I just want to see Shatterpoint or the Yuuzhan Vong.
Did they really think we wouldn’t find out? Damn.
It is all ruined now
