What I’ve wondered is, is there a growth-related downside to just not cutting *at all*. Like, does stuff actually grow better or flower longer if you cut it at the right time and the right length, versus leaving it alone (or mostly alone)?
I assume everything after the first cut is with a trimmer? Best of luck trying to get a lawnmower through anything that’s left for months in the summer.
Ok, so cut it later this year… Will try to remember this year.
I cut once a year and it’s grand. Lots more flowers appearing this year as the nitrogen levels slowly decrease.
Well timed advice ; Guardian reported that one UK study saw bug populations there drop by 60% since 2004 which is horrifying …
