Zelensky and Croatian Defense Minister Discuss PURL Projects and Veteran Policy Cooperation

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with Ivan Anušić, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of Croatia, during which the parties discussed implementing joint projects under the PURL initiative and adopting Croatian experience in veteran policy.

The president announced the meeting on Telegram.

Key directions of the negotiations

Zelensky expressed gratitude to the Croatian government and people for their support of Ukraine and for each package of military aid –

As part of the discussion, the importance of implementing projects within the PURL initiative was highlighted, particularly regarding air defense capabilities and using the opportunities provided by the SAFE mechanism.

Such meetings highlight the shared interests of both countries in strengthening defense capabilities and developing veteran support, which strengthens the partnership between Kyiv and Zagreb.
