Gozitans studying in Malta to receive €280 monthly grant

Gozitan students who study in Malta can now receive a monthly grant of up to €280, significantly higher than the €500 they can presently receive every three months.

Finance minister Clyde Caruana confirmed a measure which was leaked to the Sunday Times of Malta, and observed that the application process was also being simplified to reduce bureaucratic hurdles.

Over 800 students are expected to benefit from the scheme, the minister said.
