Glenn Close was all smiles in Madrid on Tuesday, October 28, as she strolled through the Spanish capital arm-in-arm with filmmakers Javier Calvo and Javier Ambrossi.
The 77-year-old Oscar nominee has officially joined the cast of La Bola Negra, the duo’s highly anticipated new film which is already one of the most talked-about Spanish productions currently in the works.

Close appeared happy to be in the company of the creative duo, known collectively as “Los Javis”, dressed in an oversized olive coat, matching trousers and a crisp white shirt.
La Bola Negra marks a much-anticipated return to filmmaking for Calvo, 34, and Ambrossi, 41.

The duo first gained international acclaim with their celebrated series Veneno, followed by La Mesías, which made history in 2024 as the first Spanish series ever selected for the Sundance Film Festival.
Close joins an impressive cast that includes Penélope Cruz and Spanish singer-songwriter Guitarricadelafuente, who will be making his big-screen debut with the film.
