Santa Barbara County Fire crews evacuated about 16 residents from a Goleta neighborhood Tuesday afternoon after a natural gas leak.
The 1-inch gas line was reported ruptured around 2 p.m. on the 7100 block of Davenport Road, which is near The Plaza Shopping Center.
SoCalGas shut down the gas line and evacuations were lifted around 3 p.m., according to the county Fire Department.
No injuries were reported.
Fire officials said the gas line was “hit,” but no further information was immediately available about the cause of the leak.
