The Estonian public broadcaster ERR will reveal the 12 artists competing in Eesti Laul 2026 on Wednesday and Thursday evening, through the show Ringvaade, which airs from 18:00 CET.

A total of 171 songs were submitted to the competition this year — a number slightly lower than last year’s 175 entries. Despite Estonia’s remarkable success at Eurovision 2025, finishing third with Tommy Cash and the song “Espresso Macchiato”, the number of submissions has remained almost unchanged, which is quite impressive.

Out of this year’s entries, 77 songs are written in Estonian, while the remaining 94 are in other languages. The songwriters come from 20 different countries, underlining the international appeal of Eesti Laul as a music competition.

The entries were evaluated by a jury of 34 music professionals, including singers, composers, radio producers, television figures, and representatives of music organizations. Importantly, the evaluation process was anonymous, with the jury unaware of the performers’ or songwriters’ identities, ensuring complete impartiality.

The selected songs are expected to be released for the first time in early December.

The semi-final phase of Eesti Laul 2026 will take place in January 2026, while the Grand Final is scheduled for February 14, 2026, at the Tondiraba Ice Hall in Tallinn.
