>Scotland’s deposit return recycling scheme was “single-handedly undermined” by former Scottish Secretary Alister Jack, ex-minister Lorna Slater has claimed.
We ken.
It’s been running in Ireland for a while – obviously not without problems – but overall great scheme. Pure unionism BS to undermine ScotGov
Slater undermined the recycling scheme by refusing to consult with other countries operating one.
Certainly did.
Corrupt bastard should be in the dock
“Minister in charge of failed scheme says it’s not her fault and someone else’s”
Shocked, I tell you.
Unpopular opinion, good. I thought it sounded cool too, heck I’ve been to Germany where it’s a thing and thought it was great. But then I realised all it does is bump prices up and basically holds you financially hostage to return it and am I fuck bringing big bags of bottles to the shops when I go the messages to get my deposit back, I already put them in the grey recycling like a good boy.
I remember them justifying it saying the UK government was imminently about to impliment it’s *much better* scheme. Any day now, I’m sure…
