Israeli occupation forces detained 44 Palestinians during a large-scale military invasions and violent searches of homes in the Deheishe refugee camp, south of Bethlehem, early Wednesday morning.

Israeli troops stormed the refugee camp at dawn, storming and ransacking numerous homes and detaining dozens of residents for several hours.

During the invasion, soldiers conducted field interrogations before releasing the majority of those held.

The invasion was marked by a heavy military presence throughout the camp’s narrow alleys, sparking heightened tension between local residents and the invading forces.

In a related development, Israeli forces also carried out incursions into Aida refugee camp, north of Bethlehem, and the nearby city of Doha to the west. No abductions or injuries were reported in those areas at the time of reporting.
