Ukrainian Air Defense Shoots Down 93 Russian Drones in Night Attack

According to reports, the Air Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces

During the night of October 29, the air defense forces neutralized 93 of 126 Russian drones that attacked Ukraine. According to the Ukrainian Air Forces, strikes were recorded at ten locations.

According to the department’s data, the nighttime attack involved Shahed-type strike drones and drones designated Gerbera, as well as other drones from Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtersk – the Russian Federation, Donetsk, Chauda, Hvardiiske – the occupied territories of Ukraine; about 80 of them were ‘Shahed’.

The attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, EW units and mobile fire groups of the Defence Forces of Ukraine.

Chronology of the night attack and its consequences

According to preliminary data as of 09:00, air defense had destroyed or suppressed 93 Russian drones over the north and east of Ukraine. As a result of this attack, the Russian Federation recorded hits on 32 strike UAVs at ten locations. The Ukrainian Air Forces added that several more drones are still in Ukrainian airspace.
