As a European – the only reason our old buildings look so nice is because our kings would rather spend money on their property than on their citizens.
All our new buildings are mostly ugly because we have now decided we would rather spend the money on other shit like Healthcare.
So while it is fun to shit on Americans. They basically just stopped their leaders from wasting money on beautiful buildings before we did- until now with the new white house ballroom of course
what’s the building behind the American’s fortress?
Honestly, we had the time to build those. They didn’t. That’s why it sucks to live across the pond

Ah yes the Sniper Elite 5 mission 3 quest.
That’s because those types of fortifications have been obsolete for centuries. No reason to build them anymore.
I will play devils advocate here, and say they are made for completely different purposes and with different resources, I actualy think they both have their merit, the bottom one doesn’t look good in the same way an army tent doesn’t look good.
