In Stavnytsia, which is part of the Mezhybizka community in Khmelnytskyi region, with the support of the Republic of Slovenia, a family-type children’s home was opened for a family of ten children that relocated from Zaporizhzhia region.
Local authorities reported on the event, noting Slovenia’s significant contribution to funding and partnership during the project’s implementation.

In Stavnytsia, Mezhybizka community, the opening of a family-type children’s home took place for a large, multi-child family that moved to Khmelnytskyi region from Zaporizhzhia region. In the new home, ten children live together and are being raised.

The project’s financial partner is Slovenia, which provided grant assistance amounting to 19.8 million hryvnias. The contracting organization was also a Slovenian company.
The Mezhybizh Community allocated about 4 million hryvnias for construction.
Attending the opening of the new family-type children’s home were Slovenia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, Tanja Fajon, and the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia to Ukraine, Mateya Prevolshek.
In addition, the government launched the “Family Home” program for orphans and children deprived of parental care, while simultaneously increasing payments to foster parents and adoptive parents in family-type children’s homes and in foster families.
