    I feel like they moreso fear legal ramifications the companies might face forcing them to comply with the law regarding those extraordinarily egregious human rights abuses.

    This is pretty bad, but the worst part is Google and Amazon will see no consequences.

  2. Funny: Microsoft were able to take action earlier against Israeli use of their services because they lost bidding on this contract. Why? Because MS wasn’t willing to accept Israels demands. Man, we live in the timeline where MS out of the top tech companies is the one not willing to completely bend over chasing a few dollars…

    On the topic at hand: genuine question – how is this legal and how will this not lead to serious consequences? Basically it gives Israel carte blanche in terms of IT services with those providers and it sidesteps legal requirements in many countries.
