WANA (Oct 30) – The spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry, Esmail Baghaei, strongly condemned the large-scale Israeli airstrikes targeting various areas across southern, central, and northern Gaza, including tents sheltering displaced Palestinians.

According to the Foreign Ministry statement released Wednesday night, Baghaei denounced the attacks, which have resulted in the deaths and injuries of dozens of Palestinians, including many children.

Baghaei criticized Israel for its “systematic violation of all legal and moral principles,” describing the recent 24-hour bombardment — carried out under the direct order of the Israeli Prime Minister and in “clear violation of the ceasefire agreement” — as further evidence of “the regime’s intent to continue its genocide against the Palestinian people.”

He emphasized that the situation places an even greater responsibility on all governments, under the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide, to act decisively to halt Israel’s crimes and ensure accountability for those responsible.

The Iranian spokesperson also highlighted what he called “the continued and flagrant violations of human rights and humanitarian law in the occupied Palestinian territories,” which he said persist under the full support of the United States. Baghaei urged ceasefire guarantors to take immediate action to curb Israel’s “aggression and genocidal policies.”
