  2. Thank goodness Meghan and Harry went to the WS last night so everyone can be up in arms about that instead. 

  3. I don’t get it. W and K can’t really move in there after just announcing plans to move…right? Moving him to another Royal property seems pointless? I must be missing something!?

  4. I would imagine the Waleses may move into the Royal Lodge when the kids are all teens. Give it some time to get Andy’s stank out.

    But the big thing is the Royal Lodge is a big thing for Andy. He has been refusing to leave it, despite not being a working Royal and not having young children or any other need for a large home.

  5. My understanding is that Andrew has access to a palace in ~~Dubai~~ Abu Dhabi and also property in Switzerland. I think he should do the dignified thing and remove himself from the UK, like his Duke of York great-uncle did. But he is a dolt and a petulant brat so probably will continue to make problems …

    That said, the talk of Frogmore (for him) and Adelaide Cottage (for Fergie) is not ringing believable to me. No matter what he has been saying recently, I don’t think he will stand for the downgrade. And I don’t think Fergie has any basis to expect to be housed by the king or taxpayers. (Yes, I have heard that Charles may do this simply to keep her in the fold and not writing another tell-all book).

    As for Royal Lodge, I can’t imagine who will want to live there. It is gigantic and very expensive to keep up, a burden for whoever is in it. I do not think that W and K have designs on it like some do. They have poured a lot into Forest Lodge as a much more manageable and relatively “normal” upscale “forever home” for their children to grow up in. They have seemed to not want the kids to be burdened by the vast emptiness that William grew up in. I wonder what will become of Royal Lodge?

    Edit: not Dubai. He has been offered a palace in Abu Dhabi.

  7. What is the difference between leaving royal lodge and living in some other crown property like frogmore cottage? It’s still an extravagant, luxurious home on the crown estate. He shouldn’t be living on any land owned by the public as opposed to Sandringham or Balmoral which actually is private property that belongs to the King

  11. This is so dumb. We brits are so obsessed with property that the main punishment we’re doling out is to move to a slightly less nice house on the royal estate.
