SolaX Power, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of renewable energy equipment, announces the launch of its new SolaX Thermal R290 product line in Romania – a new generation of high-efficiency heat pumps.
This solution complements the company’s well-established ecosystem of products already available on the local market – hybrid inverters, energy storage batteries, and EV charging stations – providing a fully integrated and intelligent system for sustainable homes.
The product has already been introduced internationally and is now available for orders in Romania, with the company expecting record sales thanks to its exceptional energy performance and seamless integration with SolaX photovoltaic systems.
Listed on the STAR Market of the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE: 688717), SolaX Power is one of the global leaders in renewable energy technologies, with an annual turnover of approximately €400 million and over 3,000 employees worldwide.
Present in Romania since 2022, the company has turned the country into a regional hub coordinating operations across 12 Balkan states.
In 2024, SolaX Power Romania reported a threefold increase in sales in its key business segments – hybrid inverters and energy storage batteries.
For 2025, the company continues its expansion strategy by launching new products for both residential and commercial use, including the SolaX Thermal R290 heat pumps.
The new SolaX Thermal R290 series offers a complete heating, cooling, and domestic hot water solution, designed for modern homes and large buildings. The heat pump operates across a wide temperature range, providing heating between 25°C and 80°C, domestic hot water between 20°C and 70°C, and cooling between 5°C and 25°C – all managed through an intelligent control system.
Available in five models with capacities ranging from 8 to 16 kW, in both single-phase and three-phase versions, the range easily adapts to various residential and commercial environments.
SolaX heat pumps deliver A+++ energy efficiency, a SCOP coefficient of up to 5.42, and energy savings of up to 28% compared to conventional systems.
The technology uses the natural refrigerant R290, with minimal environmental impact (GWP=3, ODP=0), actively supporting decarbonization goals and the transition toward sustainable energy consumption.
“One of the key strengths of this new generation is its native integration with SolaX inverters and batteries through the intelligent SolaXCloud platform, which enables real-time monitoring of energy flows, temperature, and operational status.
The system offers full app-based control, allowing users to schedule temperatures, operating modes, and start times – including special modes such as holiday, silent, or anti-freeze.
Users can independently adjust the temperature for up to three heating zones, ensuring optimal comfort in every area of the home. The AI Intelligent Scheduling function further enhances efficiency by optimizing consumption and cost savings,” said Robert Kenderessy, Sales Area Manager Balkans, SolaX Power.
The SolaX Thermal R290 stands among the quietest heat pumps in its category and includes models with integrated hot water tanks, hydraulic units, or fully integrated systems.
The company’s portfolio also includes commercial and industrial (C&I) products such as the ORI containerized batteries (up to 7.5 MWh), the TRENE energy storage systems (215 kWh), and the All-in-One AELIO solution, which integrates a 50/60 kW hybrid inverter and provides up to 200 kWh storage capacity per unit.
In Romania, SolaX Power operates with a dedicated team of nine specialists and a network of over 200 certified installers, ensuring installation and maintenance for all equipment.
Through the launch of the new heat pump range, SolaX Power reaffirms its commitment to providing intelligent, efficient, and sustainable energy solutions for the homes of the future.
