Hey, trying my luck here.

Has anyone used this CANTUS chair from XXXLutz for a home office? Would you recommend this to other people?

Or maybe someone could recommend some other products.

  1. Im using the MARKUS chair from ikea. Some of my friends aswell and we are all pretty happy with it.

  2. I got a decent ergonomic chair from used furniture shop (it used to belong to Deutsche Rentenversicherung (random fact)). Just saying this in case you don’t need to buy something new necessarily

    Also, before buying, whether new or old: 1. sit on it. 2. sit on some others, especially expensive ones, to make sure you understand how it can be

  3. Bought this one, it sucked for me as a short person with back issues. I couldn’t lean back easily, because it required more force than I could casually use, and my back ached after using it.

    In the end I gave to a friend who was quite happy with it. 

  4. Viasit makes good Chairs and produces in germany as far as I know. They may be a bit more expensive tho but I‘ve been using one for about 5 years now and am quite happy with it.

  6. Asking random people about a random chair on the internet is a perfect way to waste time, money, and nerves. Trust my years of experience as an office worker who tried to find a good chair that doesn’t hurt at the end of a workday. Even after looking at dozens of reviews on YouTube, this won’t help you, because your weight, height, and body shape will dictate what chair you need. No one can help you here. I tried listening to “experts on YouTube” and tried some of their top recommendations with a high price tag (like Herman Miller and Steelcase), but they all failed for me. Go to a shop and try them personally. Really.

  7. I can really recommend you go to a „Büroausstatter“ aka Ergonomics Shop to sit on different chairs. Also I wouldn’t go for a headrest, as it’s not that healthy for your cervical spine.

  9. If you can swing it get an Herman Miller, Aeron or Embody are the top picks.

    Got an Embody and it is an awesome Chair yeah they are expensive but if you work home office this is the place where you spend the most time of your live next to your Bed. So its worth investing into it 🙂
