2. Or the C-Suite douchebags could actually offer affordable meals to their target demographic. No no can’t do that, that’s just crazy talk. Greed is the way forward 😂

6. It’s not just them! Some of us GenXers are living paycheck to paycheck, too.

7. Burdened as well by the cost of eating at home. I’m in my 40s and I hardly remember anything economically that is as disheartening as how expensive food is now. It feels like we are being bled dry everyday just trying to survive.

8. So eat in? It’s good to save. Eating out is a waste of money, definitely better to pay off loans as quickly as possible.

    Granted I can’t buy the things to make one burrito for the cost and I’ll never make 5 and re heat them.

18. I have plenty of money and only rarely go out anymore, and definitely not to chain restaurants like chipotle which have always been mediocre at best, and now are also too expensive.

20. A meal costs around $16-17 now. Crazy expensive.

23. Today at McDonald’s because I was in a bind, I paid $14 for a meal. Two cheeseburgers,fries and a drink super sized. The fry’s were half full and the burgers unsatisfying. I used to buy 10 cheeseburgers in college on .39 cheeseburger day for $4.20. I will never again go after today, and mind you it’s been years since my last time eating there.
