Hopefully some real pressure can make Putin accept peace
They can get warm by marching to Moscow and protest
Orel (Oryol) has a population of 300k, it is not very small town.
And it is ~380km or about 5-6hours drive from Moscow.
Maybe aim at Putin next time.
When I was in Russia years ago, I was surprised and impressed by those centralized heating systems that towns had; it was a good way bringing economy of scale to the cost of heating for everyone making it cheaper for everyone. It was unlike any central heating I’d ever seen the west.
I never thought of that centralization in terms of how it would become a vulnerability in war. I guess warmongering assholes like Putin are why people can’t have nice things
That’s what Putin gets for trying to invade in winter.
