Wonder what factors cause people to have such a callous attitude towards causing suffering and life. One could look into it to rehabilitate, or equally, not bother.

Three teenage girls, involved in a “county lines” drug gang, were convicted in the killing of Anthony Marks, 51, in London. The attack, which occurred in August 2024, was in revenge after one of the girls was robbed of drugs, and they believed Marks had information about it. The teens hit Marks with a car, chased him, and beat him with a gin bottle.
Marks managed to get to King’s Cross Station for help but died from his injuries over a month later. Police used CCTV and photos from the teens’ phones, including selfies taken after the attack, to secure the convictions. Jaidee Bingham was found guilty of murder, while Eymaiyah Lee Bradshaw-McKoy and Mia Campos-Jorge were found guilty of manslaughter.
Death penalty needs to come back. These people don’t deserve second chances.
It was a drug related crime, and what shocks me the most, is the collective apathy that we as Londoners have developed to let someone running after a man with a car bumper go by is shocking.
Editing to add that my disdain was not directed at the public for standing by and not doing anything. Much like anyone else, would maintain distance too. My disdain was directed more so at how the system has failed these kids (and adults) so miserably that this level of violence and savagery is normalised.
