CNN has created a visualization, using data from the nonprofit CarbonPlan, mapping projected global heat stress to show where future Summer Olympics could become unsafe to host. The map uses a gradient from light yellow, showing regions below 77 degrees Fahrenheit, to dark brown, marking those above 82 degrees Fahrenheit, the threshold where outdoor events should be canceled. Deep brown clusters cover the majority of the globe, revealing that by 2050 most cities will exceed safe limits for athletes and spectators.

Take a look.
