A West London woman has been ordered to pay more than £400,000 after she was caught renting 10 “flats” in her illegally converted house. Sanaa Al-Hadethee, an Ealing resident, had been using her six-bedroom terraced house in Perivale as a hotel without authorisation prior to converting it in to 10 flats.

Lol
“It is unlawful to make extensive operations to a home without gaining planning permission from the council beforehand.”
The ol’ unlawful not illegal argument, however the entitlement of the entitled person still remains.
Despite the criminal offence she didn’t get a criminal record.

Seize the property.
Guaranteed if she paid HMRC she wouldn’t be in this trouble and she wouldn’t of been found out
Here in Feltham we are seeing a similar story. One woman has bought five houses from families on behalf of relatives in India. They’ve all been turned into HMOs, one of which she’s asking for planning permission to do a two storey extension. It’s drained the life out of our road, it’s shameful that she can get away with it
Awwww, my heart bleeds for these innocent landlords when they get caught and they have to pay 😂😂😂
So this has been going on since 2018 and she had to pay £430000 in fines which sounds like a lot but my bet is she’s still in profit
Imagine being the neighbours, there could easily be 20/30 people living there. Crazy
ok but whats the problem with this why is it illegal in the first place
Typical comment from a white guy on here; SHE SHOULD PAY. Average white guy doesn’t have anything of value, let alone force his wife to be the owner so she takes the brunt of responsibility. Let’s look at the original lineage of ownership, who’s REALLY controlling the narrative of ownership here.
The house: i consent
The landlord: i consent
The renters: we consent
The government: i don’t
Slum lords are a plague
Greedy greedy hmrc
Slum landlords imported and exploiting the poor for their own gain. Great
Assessed for street repairs. Worst card in monopoly.
I’d be curious to see the layout of some of those flats. Some must be the size of an old VW camper.
