The Pentagon has given the White House the green light to provide Ukraine with long-range Tomahawk missiles after assessing that it would not negatively impact US stockpiles, leaving the final political decision in President Donald Trump’s hands, according to three US and European officials familiar with the matter.

  1. I’m curious, even if Ukraine did receive Tomahawk missiles, how would they launch them? I’m somewhat unfamiliar in this regard, but I’m not aware of Ukraine having any systems capable of doing so?

  2. I definately hope Tomahawk is approved. We need confirmation and detail. This is something that could be halted by small details. Whether Tomahawk goes ahead or not the US should definately send LRASM and a portion of new build PRSM. PRSM is new and scarce but we could commit a portion of new build missiles, say 10-20%.

    If the decision has moved past Pete Hegseth, the odds of approval go up. Hegseth (Keg breath?) could still sabotage this offer, but the odds of approval go up significantly once someone navigates the proposal *around* Hegseth rather than through him.

  28. I hope this is true but Ukraine has no launch vehicles for these? As far as I know the ground based launchers for these are only a couple years old I don’t think the US would be willing to hand them over.
