  4. Curious which roles making up a quarter of the civil service constitute a “woke job”, how much this would cost in redundancy pay (or are they banning that too?) and how creating an exodus of unemployed people is supposed to help the economy exactly.

    Reform have also got their eye on my industry, I have a professional job that pays well but it involves those nasty woke renewables and ugly windmills they hate so much. I guess this rules out the civil service if I get the sack.

    I’m a civil servant and it’s a disgrace how many people are happy with the status quo, happy duplicating work for the sake of it as it keeps them in a job.

    I’d hate to think how many civil servants are out there on 40k that simply do data entry. They wouldn’t last two seconds elsewhere.

    It needs a shake up badly for the greater good.

  8. The civil service isn’t perfect but getting some sweaty 17 year old QANON basement dweller to go into the government computer system and randomly fire people like they did in the US is pretty obviously lunacy.

    I don’t want to say Reform are traitors to the country who are priming the British state for a hostile takeover by US corporate interests. But if they were, this is what they would do.

  15. If they win power, and that’s still a big if, they will hit the same issue they’ve had in the local councils. You can’t just sack people here. Unlike America, we have these little things called employment rights. They’ll realise they can’t do any of the things they want and will end up pissing money up the wall.

  19. I’m so tired of anti British people attacking our country and our culture. They can’t even pretend to have real problems so import it from other countries just like they get paid by foreign agencies to fund their attacks on Britain.

    Western Culture is being attacked by people pretending Western Culture is at risk. Most social media posts about needing to protect Western Culture are done from accounts running in India, it is a coordinated psychological warfare and people who claim to love Britain are being weaponised to hurt Britain.

  27. Much of the civil service growth has come from Brexit. Customs, border control and endless bureaucracy duplicating that of the EU

  31. Definitely not the way to do it. But I don’t think we can deny the Uk civil service is truly rotten to the core with ideology. Ultimately, no government can come and make any meaningful change as the civil service has its own ideology they stick to. Pathetic and a major problem within our country.
