Two wars were fought to preserve the freedoms and uphold the way of life of Europeans. In that fight millions of non European soldiers fought and died to defend it. Some enlisted because they were colonies and had no choice and some because they believed it was the right thing to do.
After that war those people then came to the countries rescue again and helped rebuild it and grow its economy back so that it could continue to be a world powerhouse.
In subsequent wars after this foreign soldiers and civilians have aided European soldiers and ensured they have succeeded in their missions.
Those lives, those families affected, those people are who’s backs the European wealth and way of life is built off of. The knowledge and new skills we gave for centuries before the wars were used to push Europeans forward and stand on the necks of those who gave those gifts.
We are not your toys to play with. You ask us to die for you. Build your country. Work with you to allow access to the natural resources and skills your nations didn’t possess. You do so by offering subpar compensation and the scraps at your table. Incite wars and division so you can continue to exploit us and stop us from being able to compete on the world stage as equals. You expect us to crawl back to our countries after you have got what you want from us.
Anyone who thinks thats fair and just is only admitting that they are incapable of more complex empathy and critical thinking than the neanderthal thought that ‘look like me, good. Not look like me, bad’. But we are the ones you say are uncivilised. We know how to sacrifice for others. We know how to share and give without receiving. We know how to accept loss and change and grow.
