Imagine actually sending out a letter like this, suggesting that a bailiff is involved when it's not. This is just intimidation and extortion. It's high time this was made illegal.
This was actually from a free car park in which I stayed for 15 mins to do a quick bit of shopping. I just forgot to print off a free ticket from the machine. I proved to them in my appeal that I used the car park legitimately but it was still denied. They wanted £100, and now with added 'admin' charges.
Fucking sharks. Their practices disgust me. I'm so glad we have some protection up here in Scotland.

Yep. Except sharks is too nice a term. They’re fucking parasites, more like tics.
Your mistake was engaging. It’s very hard for them to chase these in Scotland, just ignore them in future.
Normally against publishing full names of strangers but Kim Heaton deserves it, imagine putting your name on that them being able to sleep at night.
If its not council or police, just patch it
Chuck it in the bin. You’ll maybe get 2 or 3 more, but then they’ll give up.
I’m not defending them because they are scum, but there’s signs everywhere at the Gallagher retail park saying you need a ticket for the free parking, and there’s a guy goes round checking.
You’ve possibly shot yourself in the foot by appealing and outing yourself as the driver.
There’s no keeper liability in Scotland, meaning if you decline to name the driver then they can’t pursue the registered keeper. But unfortunately now they know it was you.
Can’t edit the original post. I’m aware that they’re toothless and I have no intention of paying until ordered to by a court.
Was just highlighting the tactics they use.
Kim Heaton can eat shit.
The endorsement in the bottom left for Can’t Pay We’ll Take It Away is just the cherry on top
Living in england. I had to pay £400. To stop a highly aggressive person/persons returning to my door.
Usually only my wife would be in the house wen these disgusting animals would arrive.
I involved local police , they told me i could di nothing.
The original so called offence…. Drifting into a bus lane for a second.
The so called court is not on your side.
Its on the side of the money generating machine that these disgraceful fucks perpetuate.
Not sure who’s scummier, the company that fines or the companies that use them.
I got one from parking at Morrisons for 2 hours, 12 minutes.
I’ve 2 young kids. Trying to do a full shop with them and a busy shop isn’t easy without having to watch the clock.
Morrisons did nothing even though I showed them a receipt for over £200 of food.
That was the last time they got my business.
I’ve been ignoring around 8-9 for just as many years now. 3-4 in Scotland and the rest in England.
Every so often a new debt collection agency will take the debt over and I’ll get a few months of letters from a new company.
Absolutely wouldn’t condone ignoring them as they are still within their right to take you to court (one of them even uses a case example in 2004… 20+ years ago!).
Isn’t it the case that this is a private contract? I mean it is not a standard parking fine which can be demanded from the owner of the car… it’s a contract the Driver has entered. If anybody the driver would be liable.
What if the owner is not the driver and just flips them off?
It’s also worth noting that the letter refers to County Court which does not apply in Scotland, our equivalent is the Sheriff court.
From a Scottish address about a Scottish car park but talking about English County Court????
An English County Court Judgment (CCJ) can be enforced in Scotland, but it requires a specific legal process. The judgment must be formally recognised in the Scottish legal system before it can be enforced, and this typically involves applying for a certificate from the original English court and then registering the judgment with the Scottish courts.
Steps to enforce an English CCJ in Scotland
Apply for a certificate: The first step is to apply to the English County Court that issued the CCJ for a Certificate of Money Provisions.
Register the judgment: Once you have the certificate, you must register the judgment in Scotland. This allows the Scottish court system to recognise the CCJ and permit enforcement proceedings.
Enforce the debt: After registration, a Scottish sheriff officer can then take steps to enforce the debt, such as seizing assets or wages.
Important considerations
Different legal systems: England and Scotland have separate legal systems. An English CCJ is not automatically enforceable in Scotland, which is why the registration process is necessary.
It should also be noted that English bailiffs have no legal rights or powers in Scotland.
