Black men and women are saying they were laid off, fired from their jobs for being black by whites
I just got laid off from my job at CBS. And every producer on my team who got laid off is a person of color. Every person who gets to stay and will be relocated within the company is a white person. Now, in my meeting with the executive who told me I was getting laid off, I specifically asked him if it was a consideration for us to be relocated somewhere else within the company. And he said that we advocated to keep the show. We advocated to try to get you relocated somewhere and we couldn’t cuz I asked him why are you the person who is making this decision or delivering the news that we’re being laid off and he said oh it could have been anyone only to later find out because it wasn’t until I went downstairs thinking that me and all of my colleagues had been laid off that I found out that it was only the people of color. So I went one by one to my white colleagues. Are you getting laid off? No. Are you getting laid off? No. Are you getting laid off? No. Are you getting laid off? No. So, I went back up to his office. And I told him, I think you lied to my face. And come to find out, it was not his decision to eliminate the show that I worked for, but he did get to decide who got to stay. I told him, “You said that you couldn’t get us relocated only to find out that you were able to get some people relocated and they all happen to be white. Am I supposed to believe that that’s coincidence?” And he said, “Yes, I’m supposed to believe that’s coincidence.” I said, “Do you believe that’s coincidence?” He said, “I do because I chose to keep the people who I had worked with before.” So, mind you, not only is it not based on merit, it is in its result racist. I don’t care if you decided to keep people who had purple color hair. You deciding to keep people who you had worked with before, which don’t even know if that’s true. If the outcome of that decision is racist, the action was racist, that is false. Already can tell that this person is incredibly difficult to work with, right? We already know that because him going up to people and doing it based off of race himself also shows that he is biased and he exhibits exhibits a level of racism. Now he’s basically saying that his colleagues, a lot of his colleagues that got relocated over in other shows were inherently white. Now of course we don’t know how true this is, but we just gonna take him at his word. I’ll also tell you that a lot of the reason why people are able to move over to to different places is really not even based off of merit. is based off of the fact that they are easy to work with and you know them.

Hahaha, what a bunch of BULL… Always the race card. I never got to play that card when I got laid off. I just looked at it as a positive and moved on. You should as well. You might have a happier life, AND MORE SUCCESSFUL…..

Couple of questions. 1. What is there history of simply showing up on time? 2. When asked to come in for overtime or complete a task outside the job description, was it positively received and then completed or was there push back. The answer of chosing to keep people who the manager worked with before, sounds like it was based on seniority. How i think it should be.
They probably were looking at past performance, attendance, attitude……. when deciding who gets the axe. Peeps on final notice or performance improvement were most likely the first ones. Then they work up from there. Not saying he was a poor performer but HR has processes for this. And I’m a white guy who’s been laid off several times.
Usually when you are laid off or let go from a company… you are escorted to your office / cube and then escorted right out the building… you do not have any opportunity to speak to colleagues or anyone else for that matter… usually for sensitivity and security reasons… i call bullshit on this guys experience
It doesn't sound like he considered that he might have only been hired in the first place based on race (DEI). Given the company appears to be "de-woking", laying of those hired because of DEI would make sense.
Good thing this guy wasn’t unhinged.A lot of times people get laid off they’re escorted off property immediately but he was able to go back upstairs and confront the guy who laid him off.That could’ve gotten very ugly very quickly…☠️

Welcome to the Real World, I'm a White Woman who has been Overlooked at Jobs for White Men and People of Color both Men and Women. I was told by One Company that they had to Hire 2% of People of Color before they Could Hire Me a White Woman. My Son is now 32 but He was in the Navy when he came back from his 1st time. He took the Philadelphia Police Department and Fire Department Test which He passed both w/a 100 on both test. He was #93 out of 45,000 People that took the Police Depart Test and #123 out of 50,000 in the Fire Depart, oh that doesn't count his Military Veterans Points. I thought He was going to get the Phone Call quick but He didn't. I straight Out asked My Democrat State Representative who told Me that Philadelphia has to Hire 3% Black, Hispanic etc People 1st and 5% Women. Then the White People would get Called. So My Son had to wait 2yrs until the Police Department called Him even though he Scored Higher than these other People. It was 2-1/2yrs for the Fire Depart. So My Son did find 2 Great Jobs other than the Police & Fire Department. One was at a Casino in the Security Department. When He was in the Navy for 4yrs he was doing 5 different things. When He went into the Navy He wanted to go to Sub School aka work on a Submarine. It was Full So He asked about Military Police or Firefighter also Full. He asked what was open and they told him Motor Pool(Mechanic or Cook) He Say Culinary School Given He liked Cook. So after He did Boot Camp He went to Culinary School but was still on the Wait List for Sub School, Police, Fire Department. After Six Months He was called Up for Sub School, then 2 months later Police, Fire, Search and Recure had Openings He didn't know what to Choose when His Supervisor told him that He could do the Police, Fire, Search and Recure at the Same time and as the Sub School Best Part they were in the Same Place & The Culinary Class also He already Knew Most So He could still do. So just 2yrs in He went to Connecticut and Started his Sub, Police, Fire & Search and Recure Training. Which He did for the Remainder of His Time in the Military. He was doing Most of the Training Together (Police, Fire, Search and Recure). So in His 3rd year in the Navy He was in Sub School, Police, Fire, Search and Recure Training plus doing Culinary School. So when he came Home He had the Military training for 4 of the Things that He learned in the Navy. I don't know what Job Submarines Training would do in the Regular World. Yet when He Put this Things on his Resume Even with all his Training it came down to the Fact that He was a Young White Man and He had to Watch Black, Hispanic, Asian Men and Women get the Same Job He had More Experience in then Half of them because Of the Fact they had to Hire DEI People 1st. I knew in the 60's they had to Given the New Laws after the Segregation which I Understood. Then again when I started to Work in the late 70's and earlier 80's. Yet to know that it was still happening to My Children I was Pissed Off. Especially Given My Son's Navy History. I do have 2 Daughters and Seen them over looked for Black Women for School and Jobs. Now We're in 2025 and this 🐂💩 is Still which Happening I was Really Pissed Off watching it Continue. I'm not Glad that Black People are losing Jobs but if they aren't Qualified for them I'm Glad that Color isn't the Reason for Most of It. I Believe that the Person who is the Most Qualified is Starting to Get the Jobs. I'm Done with giving jobs because of Color or Sex is almost Over. Yes it's Still Happening but not to the Extent it was when I was Working in the 1970-80-90-2000-2010's etc. I'm 60 now and became Disabled due to Breast Cancer and it took Me forever to get SSD which I was denied and didn't find out until My last Appeal was Up. So working for over 30+yrs in Accounting I'm Stuck on SSI which is Shit on Not Something anymore can Survive on. If I received SSD I would be doing a little better but not Great considering how much everything is after all these years of Democrat 🐂 💩.
