1. US envoy Tom Barrack said it’s unreasonable that Israel and Lebanon aren’t talking and that Israel is ready to make a border deal.

   He said there would be no problem between the two countries if Hezbollah were disarmed.

   Barrack also warned Lebanon to act quickly to limit Hezbollah’s weapons, saying thousands of rockets still threaten Israel.

2. I know Israel is pushing the envelope a lot in its offensive strikes but their end goal has always been a consistent, simple “stop attacking us”. Every single nation that Israel attacked in this war has struck them first (with the exception of Qatar, sort of). At a point I think Israel just doesn’t give a shit what countries think of it and acts on its own behalf. Understandable really.
