If im reading it corectly, its probably just his work uniform or just the best clothes he had for such an occasion, given how if he was in military it would be stated instead of ” occupation worker”. But im not really into the history of lithuania in that period so maybe someone with actual experience can chime in beyond obvious things that are written in the document itself.
This isn’t a uniform of any sort, just everyday clothes. In his passport card there is a section called profession, which in this case states: ”worker” (as in ordinary worker).
Hey. Under citizenship it says German, but his birthplace is Kaunas, Lithuania, and his name is very common in Lithuania (although the surname is “Lithuanianised” from German – can simply indicate German roots especially as in 1906 Lithuania hadn’t yet declared Independence after *that* russian occupation, which then makes sense why it wouldn’t simply be “Lithuanian” under citizenship).
My suggestion would be to reach out to Kauno regioninis valstybės archyvas (Kaunas regional state archive) to ask further 🙂
