  1. I love her depiction of Yennefer. Sad that she has to deal with fan abuse, many die-hard Witcher fans really are degenerates.

  2. the actors getting heat for a writing issue is insane. I loved her portrayal from what I watched even though i would have preferred an older Yen. I’m excited to see what she projects she gets going forward

  3. She was actually a good choice to play Yen. I thought she and Cavil worked well together. Unfortunately, nothing could save this show from its own writers.

  4. I don’t know original Witcher, but liked her in this role and really thought her, Henry, and whoever played the Bard had amazing chemistry as the leads of the show. It really helped with the sometimes bad writing lol.

  5. It’s so weird to me, that they canceled a lot of promising shows after one or two seasons, but this one keeps on going…

  6. I’m definitely not happy with how the show went, but she’s an absolute highlight. Actually… most of the actors were.

  7. “I don’t care if we make a good show. It’s just a paycheck.”

  8. I feel bad for her. The latest season of the Witcher is terrible, but it’s not her fault. She’s trying to cook with shit.

  9. I think she was excellent casting, really good actress who made the most of what was in front of her.

I was wrong on freya Allen, didn’t like her at first but she’s grown into the role well.

cavill, chalotra and Allen were all let down by the writing and production on this show. Started so well.

Hemsworth doesn’t deserve the hate, he’s dreadful no doubt but who the hell thought he was the guy?!?

  10. One thing I always loved about the show was the care and effort you could tell the main cast was putting in. The writers let them down

  11. She was a great Yen! Though, I stopped watching after season 2. My main gripe is how the writers and showrunner looked at the plethora of material and said “nah, we got this.” Like, no the fuck you didn’t. You destroyed what should have been a massive hit. Then trying to blame the fans for it being dogshit was where I gave up.

I don’t blame the actors. I blame Hollywood execs for taking an amazing and fleshed out world, then did nothing with it. Lauren should never get another job ever again as she is with D&D among people who can’t get it done.

  12. Why would any actor be excited to star in any “nerd culture” type media at this point? The online backlash for anything these fandoms don’t like is so extreme it doesn’t seem worth it anymore. Star Wars, lotr, Witcher, marvel, dc, got and anything else in that realm seem to have fanbases that take anything they don’t like in their chosen media as a personal attack against them.

I have personally seen threads on hate subs that unironically say that Hollywood is waging a war against them via the media they are choosing to consume. It’s unbelievable.

  13. The show is hot trash and deserves to be panned relentlessly until it’s canned

  14. I love her as Yen and I think she was the right cast for the show. Too bad we have to say goodbye if you’re a Witcher viewer.

  15. Feel sorry for Game of Thrones and The Witcher actors. They went in believing the showrunners and writing staff were making something great and in the case of The Witcher, they got saddled with awful writing they had to defend

  16. I do feel sorry for the actors and actresses, as this whole stupid fucking drama, isn’t their fault. If anything, fan back lash should be at the person in charge of this debacle. If its any consolation, she and the ciri actress seemed to get on really well with Henry during the interviews.

  17. Good actress but she doesn’t have the right look for a fantasy inspired by medieval Poland.

  18. I actually thought she was great as Yen. She was not my first choice, per se, but she pulled it off well. She also had great chemistry with Cavill.

  19. People talk about how great it is to have diversity in shows like this, how it kicks racists butt or whatever but then turn a blind eye to how regularly the actors and actresses discuss the abuse they face as a result.

  20. Gamers will never beat the “absolute worthless piece of shit” allegations.

  21. She should Join Cavills W40k universe as Celestine or Erda or hell…a femstodies if he decides to allow that given it explicitly violates the lore and canon also fk Hisser ppl really need to stop hiring writers who think they are telling their own story within someone else’s work…its like how Dune is fkd thanks to Villenfk removing the spacing guild, Alia, Leto, the Gurney v Jessica arc, the actual threat to destroy spice production, and making Chani into a doubting Thomas instead of someone who understands Paul is trapped

  22. She is a wrong choice. She doesn’t fit with the character. Stop making excuses. Should’ve let real fan run the show

  23. If you’ve watched the show you can see how it steadily gets worse from season 1 to 4. This seasons writing has been so bad it’s unbearable
