  3. British is not an ethnic identity, it is a civic identity, sick of it being used to glaze over the importance of recognising cultural issues that end up with women and children stabbed in the streets. 

  4. 2 people are in extremely perilous condition. Hopefully they make a full recovery.

    Thankfully 4 people have been discharged.

  10. Hmm I know they said not to speculate and essentially ruled out terrorism but it really is odd for TWO people to be arrested for random mass stabbings of strangers on a train. It will be hard to pull the mental health card here.
    I really hope the victims still in hospital pull through

  11. Two people working together, getting on a train, then stabbing numerous passengers unknown to them. If that’s not a form of terrorism, I don’t know what is. As to the underlying issue that drove them to do this, who knows. Thoughts with all those affected and injured. Glad they weren’t asylum seekers or Reform knob heads would have had a field day.

  12. just adding to the black fatigue tbh.. British or not, there seems to be a prevailing theme of young black men being associated with knife crime. The news will call them British, but if you ask most where they’re from, Ghana, Nigeria, Caribbean is their first answer.

    I’m mixed heritage and my wife was an immigrant, my closest friend is a black guy and many of my neighbors are great, but we need to have these conversations with them… teach your younger men, to act right and bring society up.. stop trying so hard to bring it down.

    Just one person doing that would be crazy enough but to recruit someone else and they also think what a brilliant idea this is.

    So this isn’t terrorism. So logically you would assume a maniac with paranoid psychosis.

    But there were two so there seems there has to be some intended collaboration?

  16. Not remotely surprised at the description. I didn’t even need someone to tell me. Guess that makes me a racist or something. I don’t really care anymore.

  17. Until a motivation is established it’s all just speculation at this point really. They could be complete nut jobs like the Southport killer, they might have a specific ideology or they may have even been paid off by a foreign power to commit an atrocity for political purposes. Who knows.

  25. We need to start thinking about more aggressive punishments for those that do this sort of thing wilfully.
