  1. Rumoured? Is no one brave enough to go and knock on the door and ask?

  2. Pléiades Neo I guess ? So not ESA but ~~CNES~~ (edit after checking) Airbus Space.

Too bad the data isn’t open as with ESA’s Copernicus program.

  3. Inside the castle you will find out that Vlad Tepes never lived there and beyond MAYBE being imprisoned there once, there is no connection. The castles actual history and interior was interesting enough.

Romania in general was a gem though.

  4. C’mon guys, there is no such thing as vampires.. I haven’t seen one in 400 years..

  5. Poenari was the actual castle of Vlad Tepes, but it’s just a ruin nowdays so it wouldn’t be very much profitable with tourists. by the way i’ve been to bran castle and i recommend a visit.

  6. …so that forest is haunted, and that’s why the road doesn’t go through it?

  7. I have been there. It is a brilliant castle well worth a trip to Transylvania for.

The other castle I really liked was Peles Castle in Sinaia. Summer palace and more stately home than defensible.

  8. The castle is small, but still cool – and has nothing to do with Vlad Dracula.

  9. Vlad “Țepeș” was born and ruled the southern kingdom of Romania, Wallachia, the nickname Dracula was because his father was the order of the Drac, basically a nato-like alliance against the ottoman Empire, but the UK writer twisted a lot of the facts to make the story more appealing

  10. There’s a chick that sits next to me at work, legit smells like period blood every fucking day 24/7, like how is that even possible? Definite vampire bait she is

  11. i thought dractula was a fictional character made by an Irish guy

  12. The original story of Dracula was set up in Austria by the way.
Only last minute it was shifted to Romania.

    There is no Vlad!
