poor tech-listing appeal in London? It’s by far the largest tech hub in Europe, the total tech market cap in the UK is over twice Germany’s (the second largest in Europe)
ARM is a hot mess. Watch it’s IPO skyrocket whilst Softbank dumps their holdings in collusion with the market makers then by the time employees are not locked up expect most of the value to be gone. It’s a big club and you ain’t in it.
I’d say it could peak at 60billion and falter to around 20bn within a year.
The UK used to be a heavyweight in this space. ARM CPUs running apple hardware, Imgtec GPUs powering their graphics. For all the talk of IP being stolen by a rogue Chinese unit we sold all the real IP off to American corporations or just let them bully us around.
Seems like we have no shortage of food delivery apps, meme content farms or “fintech” apps.
A mate of mine was recently made redundant there, along with 30% of there non engineering staff. They gutted the place before IPO. Literal core teams obliterated. Fuck em’ let em rot
