King wants Andrew to lose last military title, minister says

1. Andrew has served the country with distinction and has EARNED that title. The time he saw on the battlefield, the wars he singlehandedly won

   What’s he going to do next? Strip him of his nonce title?

2. I don’t think you can have a half way house on all of this.

   If this is being done because there is an assumption there is at least something in the idea that Andrew had a friendship with a major child sex trafficker and also had sex with children or trafficked people, then you can’t just reduce his privileges and titles. It has to all go.

   Otherwise you’re saying that whilst it is too bad for some stuff, it’s not so bad as to lose others.

   And this isn’t even addressing the elephant in the room that if it is considered believable enough to strip him of titles, there should be criminal repurcussions as well.

3. Pretty much the only thing they can’t do is remove him from the line of succession, because that needs an act of Parliament in every commonwealth country.

4. But still live in the other taxpayer funded big house that his brother runs.

   The family knew all about what he’s done and tried to hush it up with money.

   This is just optics to deflect from that.

5. How about stop giving him 100k a year and send him to prison. 

6. From a technical perspective he earned those and ‘should not’ have them revoked irrespective of what he done.

   I think the bigger issue is…is why is Charles wanting to do this? There must be some absolutely terrible skeletons in the closet ready to come out and he’s trying to save face and get ahead of it before it does.

7. All very well and good, but putting him up in Sandringham kind of diminishes the whole thing – kick him out on his arse.

8. There is precedent for being stripped of your rank in the navy. Sir Ben Key lost his rank as the First Sea Lord due to him having an affair with more junior female officer.

   So why shouldn’t Andrew lose his rank as a Rear Admiral due to his offences.

9. Charles really hates Andrew.

   Guess Andrew doesn’t have his mother now protecting him now.

10. If you look from afar, it’s utterly obvious this is a gigantic distraction: the man may have committed a crime, yet the decision is to remove his titles. “You know we royals are above the law, so our guy won’t face a jury.”

11. Anything to avoid a proper police enquiry. He’s still being shielded from justice.

12. He would have been better coming clean, admitting his fault spilling the beans, it would have been over by now ,mind im quite sure it would have been squashed and held secret if it hasn’t been already.

    There will be some powerful people behind the curtains involved in all this. that also had parts in visiting the island. its one reason we wont see the list.

    I also doubt he will say anything now or spend time behind bars its not something the royals would want, and too much old money to let it happen, its always who you know and how much tug you have.

15. He should be returned to the rank he earned while on active duty. All honorifics should be removed.

16. Andrew didn’t earn his current military rank.

    He has not been active military since 2001
