Egypt and Switzerland have unveiled on Sunday, November 2, 2025, their Joint Cooperation Program for FY2025–2028, marking a new chapter in their long-standing partnership aimed at promoting inclusive, sustainable, and balanced development while deepening collaboration in areas of shared interest.
Valued at 60 million Swiss francs, the program is jointly implemented by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), and the State Secretariat for Migration (SEM).
Together, these entities will coordinate efforts to ensure impactful, results-driven cooperation between the two countries.
The initiative is structured around three strategic pillars: migration management, green economic development, and enhanced governance, reflecting both nations’ mutual commitment to supporting social inclusion, private sector growth, and institutional resilience.
Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Egypt’s Minister of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation, highlighted that through this program, and the broader framework of the Egypt, Switzerland Joint Economic Committee, the government seeks to deepen economic engagement, sustain high-level policy dialogue, and expand private-sector participation in bilateral cooperation.
She reaffirmed that the partnership embodies Egypt’s vision of fostering sustainable, green, and inclusive growth, while leveraging international cooperation to achieve national development priorities and contribute to regional stability.
