    Trump doesn’t care if China takes Taiwan. Trump only cares that they don’t do it while he is president to make him look bad. Knowing Trump he probably actively wants an invasion to happen under the next presidency so Trump can say “see if you let me run a third term it never would have happen”.

    My guess is this came up by Trump saying “if you agree to postpone till March 2029, I’ll remove Tariffs”.

    And of course China will “agree” because they either A) Don’t have plans to invade in 2027 and just got a free win or B) Will invade in 2027 anyway because he has divided the United States and has driven US allies closer to China with his Tariff policies and isolationism. But they’ll gladly take the short term Tariff relief.
