Louvre robbery suspects held as investigation intensifies • FRANCE 24 English
It’s here in the Paris police headquarters that the two suspects in the Louv heist are being held. One was arrested around 10 p.m. on Saturday night at Charles Deaul airport where he was reportedly on route to his home country Algeria. The other, a French national, was nabbed around the same time in Sense Deni. Both are in their 30s and known to police and the evidence that led to their arrest is mounting. Pivotally, forensic experts collected DNA traces and fingerprints at the scene, which investigators could quickly analyze. It can happen very, very fast. It only takes a few hours to extract a profile from the trace and identify it. Several objects were also found near the museum. a motorcycle helmet, a petrol canister likely intended to be used to set fire to their vehicle, and two angle grinders used to break through glass. Investigators also retrieved a yellow vest, a walkie-talkie, a glove, and a blowtorrch. During the hasty getaway, the burglars even dropped a crown made for Empress Eugenie. Then there’s the CCTV footage from cameras in the capital and neighboring departments. You can tell they were stressed. They climbed down the ladders too quickly, they lost jewelry, etc. So, in fact, that already says a lot about the semi-professionalism of these individuals. Under French law, the two men arrested on Saturday night can be detained for up to 96 hours before being charged. At least two other suspects are still at large, and the fate of the stolen jewels remains unknown.
Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the Louvre robbery, with DNA, fingerprints, and other forensic evidence linking them to the heist. Investigators also recovered tools and items used in the crime, while at least two accomplices remain at large and the stolen jewels have not yet been recovered. CCTV footage and expert analysis suggest the burglars were semi-professional, leaving clues during their hasty escape.

"Known to police" …..ie the guy has been arrested many times in the revolving door of "justice"
Two Scapegoats! Embarrassment was too much.
They probably tracked them on the way in and prior. Meaning they most likely tracked where they came from prior by checking cams of where the vehicle came from and followed them to their homes.
Inspector Clouseau: Je viens! Tout suite!! 🤪
While on the run with French family jewels did they ever stop to think that law enforcement would sooner or later catch onto whom all they were. Those thieves might become so grateful for a safe bed to sleep in, 3 square meals a day and a roof over their heads too they are then willing to be valuable source of infomation about other kinds of crime syndicates some day after becoming bored to tears with very little they need to do in order to survive themselves.
Don't let them go please Parisian Police!!! 😢 FILE the Charges or you Might Not Find Them Again when you let them Go after 96 hours😢
Was the thumbnail supposed to be funny? Their probing intensifies in jail? Yeah, I bet it does and I think until they give back those jewels there probably gonna being probed regularly.
It was not the perfect robbery at the end. Hopefully, they will recover the jewells
Where Monalisa gone ? It’s not traceable yet 😢
