  1. “He also noted that Ireland’s cooperation with NATO “is coming increasingly under threat with recent political shifts in Irish leadership.””

    What?

  2. Good money making opportunity.

The Brits are paying the French £1/2m per day to stop crossings, which have increased this year compared to last year.

    Get it while you can

  3. We will never be a neutral country until we can actually develop our own military to be able to do these things ourselves.

  4. Ireland, Malta and Cyprus are only three EU countries not in NATO.  Austria cannot join constitutionally.

Would NATO ever just f off and leave us alone.  Look what the coalition of the willing did to the Nordstream pipeline, the Atlantic cables are completely indefensible

  5. We have to have a grown up defence policy that separates neutrality from actually having a well funded defence forces. The bare minimum a country should be able to do is protect its own territory. No to NATO, yes to increasing defence spending imo

  6. We have like three going to us in the Atlantic, the rest are south of us going to other countries, why would we take responsibility for the ones going to other countries.

  7. Surely its up to the owners of these cables to monitor and protect them.

  8. UK: Would you like us to protect these cables for you?

    Eire: Yes please colonialist scum
