Pratt & Whitney Canada’s benefits program supports employee health through several offerings. Its suite of physical wellness programs features a virtual fitness centre (including live and recorded group exercise), personalized workouts, educational webinars and virtual personal training.
The organization also offers information on health issues such as nutrition, stress management, financial stress management and physical activity. These resources are offered to all employees and can be accessed in six languages through articles, podcasts, webinars and challenges.
Employees can also track their health and lifestyle habits with a smart bracelet given to each plan member. The digital health platform also provides several online fitness challenges each year and employees can accumulate points based on how they improve their lifestyle habits, which can be redeemed for up to $250 in gift cards per year.

In 2024, Pratt & Whitney Canada introduced a virtual sleep clinic after an internal survey found 33 per cent of employees reported sleep issues. Employees have access to a five-week treatment plan through virtual sessions with sleep psychologists. The clinic also offers monthly webinars, podcasts and articles to support improved sleeping habits.
Since June, roughly 200 employees have followed the treatment plan, noted Gaudette. “Sleep is such an important aspect of health. Many of our employees struggle with sleep issues and [through this offering] we’re making a tremendous impact.”
The company also hosts two annual wellness conferences that cover a range of topics, including stress management, nutrition and resilience. And its wellness program is communicated to employees via live presentations to different employee groups, as well nearly 300 employee ambassadors who share and promote the company’s latest wellness initiatives.
